New Moon Movie in November 2009

In October 2009, not even waiting for the official release of Twilight, the production company Summit Entertainment was already planning the movie New Moon, sequel to Twilight. They were right to be confident, after all, the first Twilight movie based on Stephenie Meyer's romantic vampire novel has been a huge success and still drives crowds in the theaters worldwide.

November 20, 2009

So now Summit Entertainment is working on New Moon, this second Twilight movie is based on the novel of the same name written by Stephenie Meyer. The draft for New Moon was indeed handed in by Rosenberg during the opening weekend of Twilight. But I think it will slightly deviate from the original plot because fans want to see Robert Pattinson badly... So Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) will probably have more time on screen than someone who read the book would have expected.

Synopsis / Plot:
"Bella Swan is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen, but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with Jacob Black. Suddenly she finds herself drawn into the world of the werewolves, ancestral enemies of the vampires, and finds her loyalties tested." (summit Entertainment)

Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) still in love in the movie New MoonOf course Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson did sign on for the New Moon movie, actually they agreed to star in the whole Twilight saga! So Kristen Stewart reprises the role of Bella Swan, a teenage girl who falls in love with vampire Edward Cullen, who is still portrayed by Robert Pattinson.

But Director Catherine Hardwicke won't be making New Moon, she's been kicked out of the sequel to Twilight:

Chris Weitz is taking over, bye bye Catherine Hardwicke! - New Moon Movie She's replaced by Director Chris Weitz (who directed American pie, About A Boy, The Golden Compass).

Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black in Twilight New Moon?In New Moon Jacob Black, an old childhood friend of Bella's and a member of the Quileute tribe, is having a more important role: Bella and Taylor get closer and Taylor learns that he is a werewolf... Not sure that Taylor Lautner, who interpreted the role of Jacob Black in the first twilight movie, will play the part in New Moon: the young actor will most likely be replaced by a stronger and more mature actor.

Summit Entertainment is willing to put a lot of cash on the table now, so New Moon won't have the low-budget feel of Twilight. But Stephenie Meyer is the real guardian of her universe, I'm not worrying too much for the movie New Moon.

Let's get ready for a marvelous movie combining vampires, humans, werewolves and romance!

What do you expect from the film New Moon? What should they focus on in the movie adaptation of New Moon? Would you agree that giving a more important part to Edward (Robert Pattinson) in the movie (even if it's a bit different from the book) is right?
:)

Cannot WAIT to see this. Heard they're replacing Lautner with a Michael Copon...older, stronger, taller, from the Scorpion King. I find that upsetting, Lautner's pretty beefed up for a 16 year old, and Jacob is SUPPOSED to be 16. Crying shame. Not in agreement with Rob Pattinson getting too much on screen time. Love him, he's great to look at, but I'm all for staying true to the storyline in the book. I'm sure Meyer will guard her precious plot. Very excited about the increased budget and a better director for the sequel. Hardwicke made Twilight a bit trippy in my opinion. In short, hoping for an even better film, still got my fingers crossed for Taylor. Should be a great ticket though.

I would love love loveeeeeee it if Edward/Robert had a bigger role than he did in the movie!!!
But not toooooo different.
It would be the most amazing thing!
I'll probably cry when he leaves her.. If all goes well.

I AGREE with having Edward in more of the movie.. I was quite upset that he wasnt so much in the book, untill near the end.. Just make the whole Bella/Jacob shorter, and then make edward come back in the picture earlier then the book had him back..
EDWARD is ther best part of the movie, and it would make it a boring movie if it WAS more about the werewolf then Bella&Edward..
I will also cry when he leaves her... I BAWLED during the book..

you cant get replace of Taylor Lautner he is soo hot and i wouldn't watch the movie if he is replaced <3

I think that Edward/Robert will have enough screen time if they stick to the book...First of all all the plot will be happening a lot quicker in the movie then in the book (is always like that) and also he will appear in Bella's dreams and also hallucinations , so he will have plenty time to dazzle us all :)

I dont think Taylor Lautner should be replaced. I agree that it would be wierd if an older person were to play Jacob when he is supposed to be only 16. I say Taylor just go hit the weights and Summit can some how stretch him out in the movie. I dont think bringing Edward back early would be such a good idea, even though it will hurt all the girls who want to see him back with Bella. Sticking to the book would be better. Instead of an early return for him the movie could show Edward where he is as well as showing Bella. The camera could follow Edward around so we know what he is doing. But thats just my idea. I cant wait to see the New Moon movie.

I cannot wait to see this movie! I loved the first one so much I had my husband take me to see it 3 times. I know it's silly. I think they should follow the book as much as possible. Maybe they can show bits and pieces of Edward where he is during his time of leave or something, just so we can see him more than just a few mins. Just an idea. I hope they keep Lautner too. He is just a cute kid. They hopefully can just CGI it. I think that's what it is called. Best of luck

I know it's not a popular opinion, but Copon looks like how I pictured Jacob. I just hope they stick closer to the book than Twilight did. If you want more Edward and are going to cut some stuff, cut out some of the Jacob parts. Bella's depression and Edwards return with the whole Volturi thing is the most exciting parts of New Moon. Just hope they don't get weird like some of Twilight was!

Give me Edward! People are right, he is the best part of the movies/books. I'm sorry to the Jacob lovers out there but I think that Jacob should just go somewhere and die! To me New Moon was the worst book in the series cause there wasn't enough Edward and his family and toooo much Jacob and the other werewolves. Also as just a side thing, I went like in a spaz attack near the end of the book when Alice came back! She is my second favorite vampire in the book and I was so excited. I didn't say character cause I'm not sure where Bella would fall then.:/
Order of Vampires:(Edwards family)
1. Edward
2. Alice
3. Carlisle/Esme
4. Emmett
5. Jasper
6. Rosalie

i love edward, but seriously stay to the storyline or the movie wont be as good. Twilight was full of stuff that didnt go with the book and i thought that was horrible, cuz i loved the book. New Moon will be better if they stick closer to the storyline. they NEED to keep Taylor Lautner bcuz he is so hott, buff, and hes 16, just like the character Jacob. I think its better to have Taylor play Jacob becuase he can relate better becuz him and the character are the same age!

Anonymous said...

i think the beginning and end of new moon should be enlongated a little bit while the werewolf part should be condensed. i cant wait for alice to get a bigger part! she is my fav character (except for edward of corse) ^_^

Anonymous said...

I would like the movie to stay more true to the book. and maybe show what edward did while away from bella. also please keep lautner for jacob he is so good. and looked great when he did the part in twilight.

Anonymous said...

They should keep Taylor in the role. That is after all what has made all the Harry Potter films so great - keeping the characters the same gives a sense of a real world.
Same for the twilight series Jacob is meant to be Bella's friend foremost not upstage Edward. They should keep Taylor he's pretty damn cute anyway.

Anonymous said...

Please stick to the book. i loved twilight. You dont need to bring edward back early...follow the book. please keep taylor as Jacob. Not just because hes hot but becuz i think he can play the role better than the other guy. and i bet hes been looking forward to playing this more mature Jacob. Just let him.. Please.

I can't wait to see new moon. I've read the series and the first movie to me, was a disappointment. It was nothing like the book. Even the characters weren't accurate. It was good, but for people who have read Twilight the is no camparrison. Hopefully new moon will be better. Taylor Launter is right to play the part of Jacob Black. He just looks like it. If you're thinking of changing the actor, good luck getting peole interested in the movie. And like the rest of the comments on this page say, stick to the book, get Meyer on the set and sit her in the directors chair so the movie makes sense. Twilight was pathetic compared to her brilliant writing. I would like to point out, just a few mistakes. Esme, does not have orange hair. She has chestnut hair. Bella blushes frequently. Emmet has dark, slightyly curly hair. He is not almost bald. Jasper, is...well, he looked like he was in pain. Carlisle is actually goodlooking. No offense to the actor. And Rosalie is described as the pure incarnation of beauty in the book. Could've tried a bit harder. Skipping most of the important parts in the book. Messing with the sequencing of envents. Hmmm...oh, and Edward can actually form a sentence! Every time he would speak, it was in a strained voice! Like he was constipated! I understand Bella's blood caused him pain, but he looked like a retard. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy the movie, I'm just very opinionated. I wouldn't mind things like, different lines from the book or shortening the book for movie times, it's just I couldn't help noticing the...mistakes? I guess, I've always been one to like the book better than the movie. Anyway, the movie wasn't completely wrong and it wasn't bad. Just inaccurate.

I can't wait for this movie! =D
I'm a little worried though.. I
had to force myself to read what
was going on in the New Moon book
when Edward left.. I hope I'll be
able to watch the movie with no
problem lol. Plus I'm also hoping
that the Werewolves are HUGE cause
I imagined them that way and i
might be a little disappointed if
they turn out little. ^-^ Anywho..
I can't wait. =D

I can't wait to see New Moon!!! I agree with what everyone has posted already! Don't replace Lautner because switching actors in a series is lame! Stay true to the book, we will see a lot of Edward in bella's hallucinations and maybe even seeing him, in pain where ever he went, after he left her, but don't change the story to accomodate more screen time for him! As much as I love Edward I love how New Moon made you want to kill yourself because of bella's pain! They must do her 'depression stage' justice and not just jump into werewolf stuff 10 minutes later!!! other than Edward coming back, reading about her struggle was the best part of New Moon! Im so excited, but also freaked out to see the movie if it changes everything!!! I have a perfect vision in my head, as does everyone else, and I hope they stay to the story! INCLUDE STEPHENIE MEYER IN DECISION MAKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS- TEAM EDWARD!!!

Anonymous said...

i cant wait for the second movie...i just re-read the book and like pictured every scene for the movie...SO EXCITED!...i dont think Edward should have a bigger part...im also about staying true to the book...i just think that when they do the scenes that include Edward they should be BIG!...like the ending...they should cut a little of the Jacob/Werewolf stuff out and film the ending just like in the book...i also really hope they dont replace Taylor Lautner in the movie...he makes such a perfect Jacob even tho he doesnt have ALL of the physical qualities...personally i think that would be like taking Rob Pattinson or Kristin Stewart out of the movie!

Anonymous said...

Im really excited to see this. I was really upset when i heard cathrine hardwick isnt going to direct new moon. She did a great job as far as effects and accuracy goes and the new guy director did a horrible job directing golden compass, it was probally the worst portrayel of a book EVER. I'm still excited for it, i personally think it's going to be hard to make the movie because of all the fans and there idea's of what the movie should be. i'm also upset that they probally wolnt keep lautner for the part of jacob, he would be perfect for it. Michael Copon was also pretty horrible in scorpion king he shouldnt get jacobs part.

Anonymous said...

Edward's great and all, but the movie really should stick to the storyline. Twilight had some different stuff in it as far as the plotline, and that's what made it more of a let down compared to the book. If and when there has to be some scenes cut out, just cut some of the middle part out where Bella and Jacob are best buddies. If fans are asking for more Edward, give them more Edward and less Jacob. Some people above had good ideas about maybe showing some scenes where Edward and the family have run off- plus there are always Bella's visions.
As for Jacob, why not cast both Michael and Taylor in the movie. In New Moon, Jacob isn't a werewolf right from the start. The big change that was in the book could be emphasized more if Taylor plays him in the beginning and Michael after the change. Everybody wins, and it makes more sense to me that way.

Anonymous said...

Love Jacob in the book but Taylor didn't deliver for me. Not in Twilight anyway.

Love Jasper by far the Sexiest in the movie haha

Okay, back to New Moon:
It will be great no matter what...

Anonymous said...

they should stick to the story
twilight was to different and it wasnt as good as the book

they shouldnt replace Taylor he suits the part!!!!

Anonymous said...

Not that I don't like Taylor to be Jacob in New Moon I just feel that he's not as tall and muscular as I imagine Jacob in the book. I think its much better if you can find a taller and a bit mature actor that would fit as Jacob. I would love to see Edward more in New Moon, the sweetness of Bella and Edward and how Alice became a best friend of Bella. I hate to see Edward leaving Bella but it will be exciting on the last part of New Moon wherein Bella will rescue Edward from the Volturi and how they will get back together and especially the vote for Bella's immortality.

Anonymous said...

i think it is sooo cheesy when sequals of movies are missing members of the cast of the previous movie or replace the other actor...if they wanted an older looking guy they shouldn't have had taylor playing him in the first place, or they should just stay with the SAME actor they originally picked, it's their problem they didn't plan ahead not ours! i demand MOVIE JUSTICE!

Anonymous said...

I agree with all of the comments on here about sticking to the book as much as possible, there are obviously going to be some changes but if the movie has to be 3 hours to hit close to the book i'm all for it! I'd sit in the theatre all day and watch it i LOVE the books they are amazing! And i did feel that Twilight was slightly ruined in the movie they did change up the sequence of events from how they happened in the book....bella and edwards first kiss for instance didn't happen in her bedroom...and i agree that Taylor did a great job as Jacob and should start out as the character in the begining of the movie since he doesn't become a werewolf until a few chapters have passed in the book, and i strongly disagree that Edward should have more air time...don't get me wrong i LOVE him...but it wouldn't be true to the book and thats really the whole point of the story is that he does leave and you get to see how bella deals with it and you get to know Jacob more and how he becomes a werewolf and that is a major part to the rest of the saga

So i really really hope they stick to the book as closely as possible...i'm excited about it coming out and i hope i'm not disappointed...

I LUV SUMMIT AND CHRIS 4 WANTING 2 PUT MORE EDWARD IN NEW MOON! that is a VERY smart move on their part. in my personal opinion, new moon is the worst book out of the twilight saga. i am not going to the midnight preimere because i am a HUGE supporter of Rob. He is an AH-mazing actor and rlly captures the Edward Cullen character. i kno many grls who would c new moon more is there was more Rob/Edward.
Now on 2 the whole Jacob thing. I DO NOT lke Jacob. AT ALL. but i would h8 4 them 2 screw it up and get a rlly bad jacob 4 the movie *hopefully movieS* 2 come. i rlly lke the actor stephenie meyer picked out. his name is Steven Strait. i do'nt lke the choices they hav 4 jacob right now. actually I CAN'T STAND THE CHOICES. Michael Copon (penn from bring it on 4) or Ben Barnes (prince caspian)*even though i heard they want him 4 ao now* ?!?!?!?! r u serious? i can't sit there and yell "hey prince caspian!" or "hey penn!". IT DOES NOT WORK! now if they had Steven Strait, i could yell "hey warren!" cause he played warren peace in sky high. I can also llive w/ Taylor because he was sharkboy so i can yell "hey sharkboy!" me and my friends did that evrytime we saw twilight and taylor came on. lol. it was fun. plus, taylor's got the whole animal/boy thing goin on 4 him. 1st he was sharkboy and now he's wolfboy. Whtevr. that's all i got 2 say bout that.
I rlly don't care about hte director as long as thehy do a good job. Catherine Hardwicke did a good job and i think Chris Weitz will 2.
Good luck 2 all the cast and crew and the ppl at summit. i kno u will do a good job.

I LOVE EDWARD!! i think they should stay loyal to the book but still put more of edward in, they should just shorten jacob's part, he is annoying and i agree, he should just go somewhere nd die he is stupid!!! anyway can't wait for the movie xxx LOVE TWILIGHT

I'm so tired of all the Team Edward/Team Jacob biased groups(Guess I've always been Team Switzerland). New Moon should stay true to the book, point blank. How do we get to her being torn between Jacob and Edward if we cut Jacobs time in the movie to make room for more Edward. One it messes with the path to "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn." Two it messes with Stephenie's characters and I like them the way they are. I also agree about not replacing Taylor. He truly is what I imagine "Bella's Smile" to be plus I hate when actors are changed. I suppose it wouldn't be so bad to show a little of what Edward did while he was gone but I think the best way to bring him in and stay true to the story is the hallucinations and what Bella does to get more of em. Plus if you go to Stephenie's website you can read some of her extras and outtakes. Edward is hiding somewhere in the ghetto when he gets the phone call from Rosalie. I dunno I suppose ranting and raving as most of us do really doesn't matter. We will see what happens come November 20th, 2009. It's in their hands we'll find out soon enough if they were the right hands.

Alice is my favourite charcter except the gorgeous Edward/Robert...

Yes he should have like bits where it shows him breaking down upset during the (boring) werewolf bits...

they shouldnt replace Taylor!!! ewwww... the other dude looks 30 and Kristen is like 18 and she is gonna have to KISS him..... taylor is ripped for being 16!!! if they did keep him just make him wear heals so he is taller..... and pillows in his shirt so he is more buff( but he already is buff)
Edward/ Rob is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well acutally i do but i dont think that he should give him a more important role bcz the twilight movie was geat but it was barley any thing like the book in the books he is 50 times funnier and more romantic then the movie so and i do think they should bcz a more important role will give him almost like hes from the book ya know and for the record i enjoyed the movie and the book!!! C: also in the 4th book when they get married it needs to be almost exactly like the book says!!!!! and in the 2nd when he proposes to her it needs to be like it peas?!!! and im in love with the movie and books so ill love new moon even better this time!!!!!!!
-Madeline Caudill!♥ twilight! C:

P.S. u should get jacob black with bella tht really sux ass! bcz everyone loves edward so i think it shouldnt be jacob at all even for a little time all edward!!!!

also i love edward&bella so make the bella and jacob thing a lot shorter and also during the book when he left her i was ballin and durin my sleep and when i woke up i had water on my shirt so saddening!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they should replace Taylor.. I mean in the book he is supposed to look 25 and be like 7 feet tall!! That kid CANNOT pull that off!!

I do hope they stick more to the book with New Moon than they did with Twilight...

Anonymous said...

I think there should be more Edward in New Moon. Screenwriters find the essence of a story and condense it down to a few key scenes. The "Jacob only" section in New Moon could be similarly tightened up without straying too far from the book. In between Bella crashing her motorcycle and jumping off a cliff there could easily be scenes of Edward suffering, Edward tracking Victoria, Edward hearing about the funeral and traveling to Volterra. It's all in the book, anyway, because Edward eventually explains it all to Bella; they could just show it to us instead of using flashbacks or dialogue. Personally, I'm hoping for a 50/50 split between "Jacob time" and "Edward time" at the very least. I also think they need to keep Taylor Lautner. It's both stupid and annoying to switch actors in the middle of a series!

Anonymous said...

I think may be New Moon and Eclipse should be combined into one movie so that Edward isn't absent so much from the movie...

Anonymous said...

i most definately do not agree with giving edward more screen time!!! don't change the plot. . . the fact that edward is gone for a long time, and bella falls in love with jake is the entire point of new moon. if they change that then how the heck are they gonna make the rest of the movies?!?!?!? and taylor is an awesome jacob. I mean its not like your gonna find a real actor thats like an 8 ft tall indian.

Anonymous said...

Um...lets just start off by saying I am OBSESSED with the Twilight saga books. I really ejoyed reading all of them. (and re-reading them alot). I have to admit I really like Robert but I think they should try to stick more to the book. I would prefer to watch it if its like the book cause it makes you like Edward so much better when he returns. They SHOULDN'T fire Taylor Lautner. I think he fits the part perfectly.

Anonymous said...

well it does say in the book that Jacob has the body of a 21 yr old but it would be better to keep Talor.(movies where they replace actors stink like inspector gadget 2 and daddy day camp)And to the Edward subject New moon is sort of stretched out in a sence aka unneccisary scenes so they could show what Edwards doing so he can dazzle us while answering questions while showing his pain and still sticks to the book.though hopefully thell show enough Bella after all the book is mostly about bella and her "great adventure"

Anonymous said...

Oh there is nothing more disturbing than when the cast gets changed for a sequel. Taylor should be played by the same actor, seriously! All the actors should stay the same so it doesn't get confusing. I have seen so many great movies and absolutaley refused to watch any movie where the cast has been replaced by new actors in the second part. Its just not on. All my friends feel the same too. Trust me I haven't seen Hulk 2. It just doesn't work for me. I mean try and replace Pattinson with another character and see if anyone is gonna rock up in the cinemas to watch New Moon:)

Anonymous said...

i feel that edward should be the same in the movie and in the book. It was a little disappointing in Twilight when the story changed. Maybe it could show what Edward is doing while he is away, but i think if millions of people loved the book, why change it?

also i am very excited about the increase in budget and the new director. I really hope it will give us a great movie, but expectations are definitely high. Still hoping for a great tear jerking movie.

Can't wait to see the movie! Just finished reading New Moon and dont know how im going to keep myelf from crying when Edward leaves Bella in the movie. I think it would be wrong to put Edward in the film more than he is meant to be. Its important that we see the emotions Bella goes through after hes gone- how it ripped her apart inside, and essentially destroyed her. If Edward was brought into the film more then the couples reunion wouldnt be as sweet and anticipated as it was in the book. I think that hearing the glimpse of his voice throughout the movie will be enough to create excitement for his eventual return. I know that for people that arent familar with the book will want to Robert Pattinson to look at (i am in now way disagreeing that he is goooorgeous as Edward)but im sure that avid fans, inluding myself, will want the movie to stay true to the storyline.

I hope that the director will consider Fairuza Balk for the character of Jane.

Next, I am not sure about Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black...maybe. Someone on another board mentioned another actor, Michael Copon. Let me tell you, that would be a good pick.

Edward should have the role of Edward in the book. It will mess future movies up. Edward will only have the role of obvious the first part of the book (Bella's birthday party). Then of course as Bella is hearing Edward's voice in her head, they could have a vision of him appear on screen talking the lines (I hope this is making since). For example, a shot of Bella with a faded shot of Edward's head and shoulders overlapping Bella's shot...anyway!

Fairuza Balk would make a wicked Jane. Some people were suggesting Dakota Fanning! She is too young and too young looking. That would be disastrous. She is a great actress, but not for this part. They need someone who is wild....Fairuza Balk may be too wild looking, but it would be interesting.

Anonymous said...

This is what I think:
I think Lautner SHOULD be replaced because he just has too much of a baby face and he can't pull off 7 feet! And same goes with Copon-BABY FACE. But, then again, Lautner is 16, right? But Copon is 27. And Kristen Stewart is 18. They should replace Lautner, but they shouldn't hire Copon. They should have the ages a bit closer...but that's just me...
They should also have scenes of Edward throughout the middle of the movie.
They should definitely stick to the storyline. It won't be the same if they add too much Edward too soon or too little Jacob.
I'm also happy Hardwicke was replaced with Weitz. Hardwicke made the movie...just...too much here and there and not enough at other places.
Edward shouldn't speak all...confined and caged..if you know what I mean. His voice is so constricted and HE sounds like he's in pain, not Jasper.

Well...That's what I think!

I am very excited about New Moon, but a little nervous. The Twilight movie was completely different from the book, hokie, low budget and the special effects weren't that great. Thank God they fired the producer and hired another one! I pray the stay with the book this time. If they add some extra Edward time then maybe they'll show him while he's traveling abroad or it will mess up the whole Jacob/Bella thing. No matter what I still love the Twilight series and have read them multiple times.

I can't wait to see New Moon!!!! I think it's going to be awesome with the new director and the new budget. And also, all you people who think Edward should have a bigger role in New Moon are not real fans of the Twilight saga. You're just fans of Robert Pattinson, because if you were real fans, you would want the director to stick to the book as much as possible. I want them to stay true to the book even though I am Team Edward all the way! I do hope that Taylor still plays Jacob. He is good for that role and he is one of the main characters after Twilight, so it would be wrong to change him now. It would be like changing the actress for Bella, it's just wrong.

i just recently read the book of new moon , i can wait for the movie but i hope you do not replace taylor it would be such a shame as it always recks the movie seeing some play it else . but the movie "twilight " was great so keep up the great work and cant wait until i see bella in italy with the "royal family"

yes i agree that Edward should have a MUCH larger role in the New Moon movie, yet i would not like the movie to deviate from the book...i remember only reading New Moon and constantly having to repeat to myself that 'edward is going to come back..soon.. just read on.. any time now... pg50..pg 100.. still not around.. pg 150..zzZZ wheres edward!!!.
and i would love it if more was focused on the Cullen Family than pretty props that float around with Edward. :)

i think they should deffinately include edward alot more in the book. They cut out so much for the movie anyways so why not cut out a big part of the Jacob section. That was personaly the worst one of all 4. I couldnt put the books down but on the second one, i found it alot easier to put down when reading about Jacob and Bella. Dont get me wrong, Jacob is awesome but edward is much more interesting and beautiful.i too, am sure i will cry when edward leaves bella. Also, anyone know when the official trailers are going to come out. All I can find are fan made ones

mandamamma said...

As a comment to Mrs. Edward Cullen. No offense but just because people wish to see more of edward does not at all mean that they are not "true" twilight fans. I read all 4 books before I even saw Robert Pattinson and I was very upset that Edward did not have more to do with the book. I dont think they should add something different to the movie with edward but when they cut stuff out of the movie they need to focus on cutting stuff from edward and jacob because they are just plain boring and they will lose a big audience if they dont include more of edward. Yes all of us book lovers will stay true to the movies no matter what because we know the rest will get better but for the people who have not read the books, which is quite a few, they will lose interest in the series quickly.

I think even though new moon didn't have Edward in it a lot he was in it a lot closer to the end.

PS: Did you here Vannessa Hudgens was going to be in it? Please tell me that's just a rumor!

glad for the change of the director wasn't too pleased with the first movie still loved it though. and i'm glad lautner as jacob he soo cute. oh and i still want the movie to be like the book if it is altered i hope not to much just for robert. common girl be true to the book the actors. remeber it was the book we fell in love with before the chacters were given faces. love the books

As much as I love Edward Cullen I strongly believe that if they are planning on altering the movie for people who may have requested then they are not true Twilight fans. Leave the movie as close to the book as possible. Dont get me wrong I am all for seeing Robert Pattison on the big screen but by altering the movie to fit him in more we will lose the emotion we all felt in the book when he wasnt around. The utter most shattering feelings when he said good bye to her, but with that being said when they do reunite remeber the feeling there was at that moment when she sees him again. Eclipse is gonna be about them both that is where we shall get our fix for Edward Cullen. Not to mention Breaking Dawn which I am praying they are going to make!
So as a true Twilight Saga Fan I hope that at some point someone that has an influence on this movie will really take it in to consideration that by altering the movie just to let Robert Pattison have a bigger role will in the end hurt the movie. Dont let the "sequel" drowned.
I have gone to see Twilight 9 times in thearters and I am planning on matching that with every other book they turn big screen. Please leave it the way it is, it's PERFECT!

I say it's illegal to replace Taylor Lautner. I think he did FABULOUS at playing the part of Jacob Black. Why can't the special effects guy just make Taylor look a little older with computer stuff? They did it with Brad Pitt in that one movie! So, I think Taylor needs to stay!

Also, I think Twilight was too different from the book, so I think New Moon should be more closer to the book. People want to see the movies because they love the books. But when the movies are too different from the book, the fans get pretty mad. So I think Edward should be in the movie just as much as he was in the book.

Also, Kristen Stewart needs to be gettin rid of. She sucks at playing the part of Bella. The little things annoy the heck out of people! Like, when she blinks she blinks too much, and she brushes her hair back too much, and she talks too fast! I think the girl who plays Rory in Gilmore Girls, or Lena in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, I think she would make a good Bella! She should audition!
And there definately needs to be an Eclipse and Breaking Dawn movie! Definately!!
So, yeah [:

they shouldnt have edward in the movie more than he is in the book. it wont have the same intensity OR meaning if edward is in the whole movie.

Anonymous said...

i hope they stick to the book with new moon . in twilight there were perticular parts i really wanted to see onscreen but werent in the movie, and for me it ruined it. I hope they keep the parts with jacob and bella in but we dont want to see that all the way through, it would just get boring :) btw twilight saga rules !!!!

Anonymous said...

Can't wait to see new Moon. I love the Twilight saga, therefore I think this movie should follow the book as much as possible. Edward is still a big part of Bella's life and next to bella he is the most important character. He should not be made more important in this film. It's Jacobs time to shine, well until Edward comes back.

Anonymous said...

they need to keep Jacob/Taylor Lautner in the movie. he would look retarded if he were that other guy {no offense} but it seriously wouldn't be the same without him. the movie new moon would lose alot of veiwings without the original jacob black!. He's ballin' haha seriously what is tat new director thinking, he's way dumb, the other director needs to come back!! And i cant forget to say this, Edward is way fine!!

I hope they stick to the book. I would like to see more of the Cullen family. I was kinda miffed that they didn't show more of the Cullens, not just Edward. Maybe in the coming movies, they will have bigger parts, like in the books. I want to move in, and become a Cullen myself.

I know that Edward wasn't there when Bella heard him talking to her, in New Moon. It was his voice in her mind, that Bella heard. Her mind was giving her a release, some hope, something to cling to. So I think they should not show Edward, when she hears him. Just his voice. But if they had to throw in a few scenes with Edward, I would show him somewhere in pain, without her. That's part of the whole story, does Edward love Bella. Does Bella choose Jacob or not. All women have felt that heartbreak of someone you love, leaving and you're left wondering why.

For one thing, the movies are never long enough, or never explain enough, of what is going on in a story. To bad movies can't last longer.

I never thought of these books as for young girls. In my heart I am still a young girl. I would say they are for all females... young to 120. I say, stick to what the author so amazingly wrote.

Anonymous said...

I really love Edward and would love if they gave him more screen time because personally I hate Jacob. I still want it to stick to the story line but still! I really just wanted to skip all of the Jacob pages but oh well.

Anonymous said...

I personally would love it if edward/robert had more screen time however i think the movie should stay true to the book. They do have another 2 books after that with edward/robert to play his part in. It was kinda dissapointing in the first movie how a lot of the story got cut out from the book because there wasnt enough time to fit the whole story in so i think for the second they should keep it as close to the story as possible. I think its so good that they have a new director for the second one and a bigger budget and i dont think they should replace taylor lautner in the next movie i think he played the character really well and i dont think that if whoever replaces him will do the job better. Should be a great movie for 09! Cant wait..

Anonymous said...

I agree that they should keep the movie very close to the book maybe add some more of the Cullens like Esme restoring that house and maybe Alice getting glimpses of Bella, and even Edward trying to hunt Victoria. I love the warewolves their great but yeah there is alot of time u have with Jacob and Bella just talkin so maybe cut that out. But u have to keep every single part where she is suffering because that's what rly gets u to keep reading the book, u wanna know if she considers suicide or running away so keep in those parts. But otherwise just stay true to the book :)

Anonymous said...

I am among those that doesnt like Jacob at all, and they should cut out alot of the Jacob and Bella story and focus more on the Volturi part of the story.

Anonymous said...

edward is gone about half the book but in retrospect, there are only a few key scenes that need to be shown in the movie. edward is not going to be absent very long. i think it is possible for robert pattinson to be in the movie a lot (for the fans) and still hold true to the book. i think that is the most important thing. if the movie is off too much, I'm not gonna wanna watch it as much as i did twilight.

Anonymous said...

i completely agree. as much as i LOVE seeing Edward on the big screen i think that would be completely changing the story line that Stephenie Meyer had written. You cant change the book just because you want to have some eye candy to look at. Every girl wishes that they had an Edward for them and i think this character has captivated the hearts of many girls from all ages. Its this pure characteristic that invites and attracts girls because it is a character that you know you could always feel safe with. I am thirteen and I know my friends mums who are in love with the book. Seriously, for Stephenie Meyer to create a book that is not only fiction but can actually relate to many people is the greatest achievement and I think that changing the events of the book in the movie would be a great disregard to Meyer. I dont think its anyones but hers to change and I think that however the story line may turn out it will still be a great movie and I think anyone should be happy with what comes out! And I also think they should NOT replace Lautner. He is a good actor and is a HOTTIE! It will kill his character to replace him..
Cannot wait till November, oh so excited!

Anonymous said...

I dissagree with one of the comments made. I think that Kristen Stewart is a good actress. Maybe "she blinked too much" or whatever 'anonymous' said but she is good at playing the role Bella and resembles what every person who read the book would have imagined. Why would you change actress' for the second movie! That would be ridiculous!

KrystalP20 said...

I love the books and i think the movies should be as close to the books as possible. and also jacob is my fav charter and i thought that Taylor Lautner did a great job as him i really hope they don't replace him i don't think they should it's stupid. hopefully the movies good though either way I'll be there opeaning night to watch it.

I think Edward shouldn't hvae a bigger part because it ruins the supense when leaves and finally returns.

Anonymous said...

Cannot wait to see this so much that i'm probably about to burst. But anyway according to stephenie meyer's website Lautner is going to be playing jacob throughout the entire saga

I am looking forward to seeing the movie New Moon. Unfortunately, Twilight didn't live up to the standard of the novel that I read. It was sad because the book was very interesting and exciting. Jacob Black, in my opinion, should be someone taller, stronger, and mature. I think that Michael Copon would live up to that if we are going to stay true to the book. As for Edward, I love Pattinson as Edward and I wish that he didn't have to disappear for the most part of the story, but the book is about Bella and it should remain that way. Staying away from it might not give a much grander effect when Bella goes to Italy to rescue Edward. And that was the best!

Hi everyone

I love the movie it was hot i cant wait till new moon cant belive they was goig to get a old guy to play for a 16 year old.I hope they put more detail in this movie like alot of detail.I really cant wait they movie seems like its so far away.Edward she be played more the same as bella and not less or more then her brcouse they are the main people right? And ill bet if they replace Taylor Lautner alot of people wont watch the movie or will diclike it becouse they have a old guy (old old old) playing a 16 year old boy come on.They should replace anyone if they dont have to like if they have have have to.

Well i love love love love the books i have all of them and i love twilight the movie even tho i think it should have more detail to it but i still love it and i hope they wont and dont replace anyone in this movie and i hope everything goes well<3

p.s i wish vampires are real...i do think there real but you nkow what i mean.

I hope you guy take all of our reading and listion to what we have to say cuz with out us no one would watch the movie.

love love love you guy<3

Ok people get over the whole anit werewolf stuff it's part of the story if you cut to much out the whole story line gets lost and it will be kind of jumbled like Twilight. Not that it wasn't a good movie I think it could have been closer to the book. and besides Robert Pattinson is Not that cute!!! He's actually a Real Disapointment compared to how Edward is made to seem in the book. I don't think they should put more of him in the movie if people want to see him that badly they should go buy a poster of him or something.

Anonymous said...

keep edward and taylor lautner in or im not gona go and watch the film i would be so annoyed!

So long as there is a character that fits Jacob Black's profile as in the book, I will be content. I am definitely looking forward to New Moon, & hope that it stays true to the story line in the book. The second book is all about Bella's & Jacob's growing friendship. As much as I love Edward Cullen, his part is at the beginnning & end...that's it.

Anonymous said...

I really hope that Chris Weitz can relate this movie more to the book. Dont get me wrong, Twilight was good but it was too different. I feel like love with the books, i really wanna see them come to love on the screen. I love Robert so much too but if he comes back too soon then it'll ruin the movie and i really dont wanna see this happen!!

Anonymous said...

I think they should try to stick as close to the book as they can. I was very dissapointed with twilight movie after reading the book. They left out so many key points that we critical to the rest of the book. Leaving Edward out in the center of the book is how Bellas relationship is developed and it make the book stonger. You dont have to edit the entire book just to make a movie. Hopefully it is done right this time.

Anonymous said...

November will never come! I hope the producer will follow New Moon story plot. They can have Edward seen in Bella's mind when she hears him but stay true to the book! This "figment" of Bella's imagination might help the viewers feel of what Bella was going through in her mind. Must keep this book tense! As much as I don't like the Jacob/Bella relationship you must have it! It makes Eclipse great.

Anonymous said...

I cant wait to see it but as much a i loved twilight (the movie)it didn't really show how much bella and edward love each other.i want it to stay true to the storyline but alot more r-patz time would be great. i'm so excited lets hom its good.

Anonymous said...

I hope they make the movie along the book lines. The grief and tragedy of Edward leaving made the love between Bella and Edward even seem deeper! Also, it gave reason to see Jacob as the other man. The movie needs to follow the story line. Edward and Bella's scenes do make the movie, but I personally love the strung out drama!

Anonymous said...

I'm so glad Taylor is staying on for the sequel. He is perfect for the role. I agree with others who think Edward has enough time on screen with Bella's hallucinations. No need to change the plot too much if at all. I can't wait to see the scenes in Italy with the Volturi! I hope the movie is a huge success and that that the other two books make it to the screen too!!!

Anonymous said...

The best actor out of twilight was the actor that portrayed James. Perhaps the others would have been better if they could have acted more like the characters that were in the book. My expectation is that the new director stays true to the book. As far as Jacob, as well as the other werewolves, they need to be bigger as described in New Moon. So if it is true that Lautner is staying, I hope he hits a growth spurt or otherwise put him on stilts

Anonymous said...

I'm obsessed with the Twilight Saga, maybe more than natural, I loved the movie, Twilight, but I wish it would have followed more of the story line in the book. I could not be happier that they will have a bigger budget for New Moon, it's expected. I would absolutely love love love to see Robert Pattinson more in New Moon but I would not want it to upset the integrity of the book. It might be a good idea to show Edward going from place to place and how he is struggling being away from Bella.. Not exactly destroying what Stephanie has created and what we have all grown to fall in love with. I can't wait to see the out come!

Anonymous said...

I loved all the books Why do'nt they do a mini series, I felt they left so much out of the book! Like the meadow that was a major part in the book, and When they first kissed, the director totally ruined that. But great actors!, I hope she publishes midnight sun soon!

Anonymous said...

i cant wait to see new moon but i am gonna cry!!!

I really enjoyed the first movie, but i was disappointed that it didnt seem to include alot of similarities with the book. I am hoping that the second movie New Moon, will follow the books details more. Hopefully true fans of the twilight saga will agree.

No i dont think robert should have such a big part i the movie they should keep it as close to the book as possible because if hes it it all the time then the massive scene at the end might not happen because he has no reason to kill himself and that is the best chapter int he book. I would also like to Jacobs character develop more in new moon and if they stick to the book then he will able to express his chacater more in the movie. If you've read the book you really learn to love Jacob, he's kind and sensitive toward Bella and i really think that it would be a far better film if they stuck to the book. Although edward is still throughout the book as he speaks to Bella in her head so he wont be completely forgotten through the book. Also if they produce the film as close to the book as possible the end scene when Edward tries to kill himself will be a lot more dramatic. Please stick to the book its so much better. Even robert says its his favourite book out of the whole saga!
And Taylor should not be replaced after all he is ment to be a 16 year old boy. It wouldnt look right if they had a 20 year old actor try to play a boy. And people watching the movie would wonder why its a different person playing the role of Jacob. Its not he look like a completley different person in the book.

Anonymous said...

okayy so i looked up taylorr.. yea hes got a body but ew.. comparede to mike... hes the scrawniest looking thing out there. dont get me wrong taylors hot but still; eww!!! i dontlike it well just haffta see.

Anonymous said...

i think the director should do the movie like the book they should not change anything that would just upset the fans from the BOOK and it would upset me so just leave the story like it is supose to be DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING!!!!! PLEASE!!!!

Anonymous said...

Well i do hope that they don't replace Taylor, i think he will do well in the part. And they should stick to the story line as much as possible, maybe tweak it here and there. But i mean i love edward and all but he'll be there in the rest of the movies so give Jacob a bit of credit.

Anonymous said...

the movie was great if you saw it before you read the book. in reading the book there are just to many things "missing" from the film. i hope that in new moon they will add more scenes with edward. like where he was and what he was doing while he was away from bella. new moon should be kept close to the book yet i dont want to end up bored from all the jacob scenes.

Anonymous said...

I think that the movie "New Moon" should be focusing more on Jacob, like it is on the book. Edward IS awesome, but I would want the movi to show the real side of Jacb too!!

Anonymous said...

Oh my gosh I am so excited for the new moon to come out I wish it would right now!And I hope Bella and Edward stay together in the movie, they make it so perfect!

Anonymous said...

I think that Taylor Lautner should still play Jacob. He is still suppose to be a kid. They can use the special effect things to make him look bigger. I would love if they would add Edward in more. Like show what he is doing while they are home. You can show him with his family leaving, going to Italy and things like that. I can not wait til the movie comes out in theaters. I loved the first one and saw it four times.

Anonymous said...

I think that they should stay on the plot of the book however, i think they should show edward after he leaves bella and what is going on with him and how he is suffering without her.I to love the charachter of edward cullen and want to see him as much as possible throughout the whole movie

Anonymous said...

I loved the books and i cried when Edward leaves bella, yes you should stick with the book as much as possible but also Edward is a big part of this movie so i would like to see him more also. No Taylor should not be replaced that would ruin the movie I know hes supposed to be taller but with "Greenmile" the black guy was really tall although his character was not. I also think the special effects could have looked more real in Twilight that is also a big part. The movie will be a huge success so Summit should spend a lil more money this time.

Anonymous said...

I cannot wait to see New moon, but I dont believe that Edward should have a bigger role. The movie should be as close to the book as it can possibly be. i loved the twilight movie but somethings weren't the way there were in the book which bothered me, for example Bella and Edwards first kiss. That was a critical thing, i think. but i hope that New moon is what even twilight fan pictures

Kelli Mimmack said...

Lets start off first with the absence of Edward in the New Moon. I realize he is a hot mofo but the plot makes for an even better 3rd book Eclipse. We wouldn't want Eclipse to suck because they didn't spend time building that relationship between Bella and Jacob. I love Edward, I love that its Rob that is playing him. If they do it right, in the end when Edward returns, he will make our hearts melt and mouths drool, and it will all be all worth it.
Jacob will have to be Taylor it would be to weird if it wasnt.

Anonymous said...

I thought the movie was great and even though it didnt have all the parts in the book it still had the main plot. I think that they should keep all the actors from the first movie, twilight, for the rest of the twilight saga. Me and my friend were talking about who would play in the next movies and were saying how it would suck if they changed the actors. Taylor should play the next roles of Jacob for the next movies because it wouldnt be the same. I think they did an awesome job at the stunts and didnt use the green screen. I cross my fingers and hope the new director doesnt change anything. I love the Twilight saga, i got really attached and i cant wait for the continuing movies!

Anonymous said...

you can't replace Talyor...if he's out of new moon then i don't think i will see the movie. i don't think it will be worth to see if he doesn't play the role of jacob.taylor is just amazing. Please don't replace him. :(

Anonymous said...

I'm so excited to New Moon. Please stick to the book as much possible. It made me cry when I read it so please don't make Edward return sooner and Please don't replace Taylor Lautner. He is so Hot and he's amazing. I don't think we were able to see his full potentional in twilight. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Taylor. It will make New Moon even more worth seeing...just to see him play Jacob.

P.S. Stuck in between team Jacob and team Edward. hehehehe.

Anonymous said...

I am very excited about New Moon and hope they continue and finish the saga. I think they should stay true to the books, however. If they plan on making 3 and 4 - then it won't matter much if they follow the story line. Twilight fans will enjoy it all the same though.

Anonymous said...

I loved the books so much. Do I think that Edward should have a bigger role in the movie? I think that if anything he could be on the screen when bella hears his voice in her head. I don't think much should change from the book because this really does portray bella and jacob. I was really excited when the twilight movie stayed on course with the book. I don't think the movies should go to off course from the books at all. I think by adding more edward it would take away from the true purpose of this time in bella's life.

Anonymous said...

I think the movie should stay close to the book, because if the movies continue this movie makes for the "breaking dawn" movie. Jacob and Bellas relationship needs to be known to it's fullest to really show renesme's and jacobs attachment later. Please don't change it. This is a very important part of the whole story. It needs to be as close as possible to the book as it can get.

Anonymous said...

i think it would be a good idea but as long as they stay true to the book show what Edward is doing with out Bella because we did not get that from the book, but i don't want them to add thing that they make up! buy not staying true to the book! Don't add him in were he was not in the book! that will take away from Bella and Jacobs story and that is how they explane there love for each other in the 3rd and 4th book, and that is very important part of book 3 and 4!

Kristan Darka said...

I just wanted to say, briefly, that i loved the first movie so much because unlike some of the books turned movies, the writers of twiight kept it true to the book. I really hope that the decison to giving rob pattinson more screen time is thought about some more before being final. Although, i agree with most hes great to look at, i wouldn't want new moon to diviate from the book just to give him more screne time. i think the fans that have read the books would appriciate keeping the original authors ideas and teasing us with glimps of edward cullen rather than bombarding us with him.

Anonymous said...

The first movie had so much feeling and emotion/lust in it. I'm wondering if replacing a female director with a male one will totally loose that element and just turn the sequel into another boring action flick. Please don't let that be the case. And try and keep the cast the same!

Anonymous said...

Not a dought in my mind says that This movie/book series should be mostly about Bella&Edward! They both make this book worth reading, and this movie worth seeing over and over. So It would be selfish for me to say that Edward should take a more of his role in the upcoming movie New Moon, but I have to say that would make it more worth seeing! I do not dislike Jacob, But Bella belongs with Edward, and Edward needs to know that.

Anonymous said...

is very important to have rob pattinson in scene. their strong an apassionate love is what give life to this extraordinary sequel. Edward character must be present at all times in the film but in an indirect way. edwards' scenes must be intercalate thru the pain of bella thoughts, when she hears his voice in moments of danger, she was thinking of him all the time... on the other side should be insert Edward life without bella. I understand that there is no need to alter the plot of the book in the movie, edward is always present in bellas' thoughts, edward is the essence of bella life. deadly love sounds crazy but is the esence of this sequel.I really want to make this movie I got it in my mind scene by scene.

I personally cant wait to see this movie... my sister got me into the books, and ive read them twice (all in order) within a week...
i have to admit that this book was my least favorite in all the twilight series because i cried when edward left... he made the story better. i hope they do decide to give rob more screen time, but you have to remember that his side of the story doesnt come out for a while, so we dont really know everything that was going on with him during the time he left.
as far as taylor remaining jacob for the movie, im wondering if thats a smart choice (dont let my sister catch me saying that) because he is a bit small for the role i have in mind... i cant wait to see the trailer and the movie this november, ill be the one in the front of the line with midnight tickets... lol

oh and i seen a couple of people post their fav vamps in order, and i thought id include mine as well
1)edward (duh)
2)alice (i love when she comes back in new moon, my heart did a backflip... not to mention when she came back in breaking dawn as well)
3)jasper (i think he's awesome)
4)emmett (a big cuddly teddybear)
5)carlisle
6)esme
7)rosalie (she may have moved up a centimeter in breaking dawn though)

GO TEAM EDWARD!!!

TEAM JACOB SUCKS!!!

The books are in my opinion the best books that I have read in a long time. I read all 4 in 5 days! I LOVE it when movies are made from books that way I can watch the story when I don't have the time to read, but I HATE it when those movies deviate from the actual book. Obviously it can't be exact or the movie would be too long; it is however better to stick to the book rather than try to guess what "some" fans might want to see. I want to see the movie that is playing in my head while I am reading, played out on the big screen!

Anonymous said...

I can't wait to see all 4 movies! I will buy them all and still read the books! I think that the last 3 books will make for the most exciting movies, but there is nothing better than romance and so the first will always be a favorite. Stick to the books please. I hate it when they are so completely different once on film! And KEEP the characters the same. All of them! There is nothing worse for a movie than changing characters, especially the main characters! And am I the only 1 that noticed Esme's bad make-up job in the Kitchen seen of Twilight when Edward brought Bella to meet his family? Can we say BLEND?

I am eagerly awaiting "New Moon" however, I have concerns on the new director who also directed "Golden Compass". Chris Weitz may have worked on
several films, alone a well as with his borther, but I am a little concerned that this film maybe taken into the direction of more fairytale like scenes than from the actual passion and pain that surrounds this story line. I do realize there is more fictional scenes humans morphing to aminals.
I just hope it remains true to the story line and not exaggerated by the possibility of unbelievable special effects that many new movies add. Now that book/film one is done and the public has specific characters/actors to identify with I hope they remain consistent thru all the sequels. I do want to see the saga contiune to the end of these four books as Stephenie Meyers had written, therefore I will wait with an open mind.

Okay, I am 48 and in love with a 17 year old vampire. Rob is definitely a PYT (pretty young thing for you kids). However it is the character Edward that draws you in. I think women of all ages are looking for Edward. I enjoyed the pictures on this site. I was very disappointed to see them all smoking. Come on guys, you are role models, gorgeous and have bright futures. Why would you start that disgusting, stinking habit? Looking forward to the movie. I too would love to see more Edward and Bella and not as much Jacob as in the book. Thank you Stephanie Meyer for the exciting adventure this whole twilight thing has been.

i can't wait to see New Moon. it's my favorite of the whole saga and I think that it would be a huge mistake to change it just so Edward can have a bigger part. I'm a huge Edward fan but the book is absolutely perfect the way that it is. stephanie meyers did a amazing job with the story and she should push for her accomplishment to be portrayed the same as she imagined it.

dont replace taylor he is really good actor and part of the movie he wont have to wear a wig. robert (edward) will have his time in eclipse and breaking dawn. he was all in twilight. taylor should have been in twilight more. and to all the 13 year olds that are obsessed with edward HE IS FAKE and you dont have a chance with rob either atleast taylor is close in age. i cross my fingers for tataylor and not a lot of rob.

i think that this movie should stay focused on the book for as much as possible. ie. don't give RPaz a bigger role because its a film of the book and not of just him!
i think its a shame that the director was changed because now it will just be different from 'Twilight' as both directors have different ways of directing!
can't wait though,, its actually going to be amazing. I'm really looking forward to the movie!
November 20th 2009 - this is now the date i can't wait for!

i think that it would be very good if Robert Pattinson played more part at new moon.in my opinion it woulb be better if they add some scenes with edward crying or scenes which show the hard time he is having after he leaves her...it woulb be more romantic.dont yoy agree?and i think that all of the robert pattinson's admirers would like that!

I think that the movie should show what Edward was doing while he was away. If the part with Bella and Jacob is shortened, then it won't express how much Bella misses and loves Edward. I also hate it when a sequal replaces actors. Taylor was good for his part and should stay. I wasn't very pleased with Twilight. I did love it, however they left so many important facts out. I hope they do better in New Moon.

NA said...

No I do not think they should change Jacob in any of the movies. Taylor Lautner plays the PERFECT Jacob. And no I don't think Edward needs more screen time. He isn't in the 2nd book a ton. So it should be respected and follow the book. I was disappointed with the first movie, becuase the order of events was changed around too much and the details weren't right. I hope they pay more attention to detail this time and keep things in the right order. Also....I hope the wolves are big like they are in the book. To see a normal "trained" wolf would just make it too real. It's suppose to be fantasy with wolves bigger than Black Bears. Let's work on that one too! Can't wait for the sequel. I think everyone has high hopes that it will be better than Twilight!

We can respect the book and still have much more of Edward in the movie. In the book, Edward told Bella he did two things while he was away from her: he curled up in misery and he tracked Victoria. Both scenes will have great music for the soundtrack, especially the tracking scenes. Victoria is an adrenaline junkie who easily outwits her pursuers. I can't wait to hear the predator music that will accompany those scenes!

I have been an enthusiastic reader since i was 4 yrs of age, and unless I have been reading to my children I have not, until now, read a book more than once. I have read the Twilight series 4 times now without reservation, and watched the movie 5 times, each time I focus on a different character and still my yearning to read/ watch this story is insatiable. I was thankful that I saw the movie before reading the books. I was disappointed with the movie, I felt that the story between Bella and Edward was lacking in depth for the first scenes, not enough building of their friendship. Bella's character was meek in the movie whereas in the book she maintained a feisty, unique, independant attitude. My expectation of New Moon the movie, is that the cast remain the same, that the storyline is more closely in sync with the book not only in a physical sense but also the "feel" of it. The "taste of it" if you like. I have no wish to see more of Edwards Character than the story needs, I want to go watch the movie to see the book bought to life. Nothing More Nothing Less. Team Twilight BTW

Robert's great, but I think that the movie should stick to the book. I would love if it had every single detail in there, even if that meant more time for Taylor. It's the story that matters, really. And honestly, what would Bella be without Jacob. Everyone loves Edward, but he did break her heart. And Jacob put her back together again. We should all know how it turns out, anyway, which mean that we should all know how much time Robert Pattinson will get in the next movies. I think it's just important that they stick with the book, and don't make it like the last one. They cut out some important things in Twilight, and I hope they don't butcher New Moon the same way. It's my favorite of all the books (:

Edward and Bella make a great couple on screen but it will be more like it if they would totally bring it off screen!!!totally love you!

The absolutely ONLY way that they could make it work to have Edward have a bigger role in the beginning of the movie is if they show some scenes from his point of view, since the books are all from Bella's view (except the one, and I'm not going to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it--crazy as they may be). If they show Edward doing what he and Alice tell Bella about in the book, it would work, but not if they try to keep him around longer or something in the beginning. It's not like he doesn't have a role in the book! Good grief. I really hope that Meyer puts her foot down if they try to change the plot too much. Looking forward to how they portray the whole Italy sequence!! And mostly glad that they're keeping Taylor as Jacob. Hopefully, they'll keep as many of the characters the same as possible. I hate when a movie series changes the actors all the time. I mean, really, it just messes with the "reality" in your head! Can't wait to see the movie. It's already taking too long! The books are amazing and I hope the new director does them justice.

I'd just like to say that I didn't think Twilight had a low budget feel to it! And, New Moon is going to be amazing I just know it!... And even though i'm on "team edward" taylor lautner is freaking gorgeous!

Hey there! I'm Eva from Guadalajara, in Mexico, and you would not believe the huge ammount of fans that Twilight has here :P...

Back to the subject... I really believe that it would be much better if YOU FOLLOW THE BOOK (I know I'm not the first to say it), I just can't find a reason not to do it, every time that a movie is far away from the books reality, everyone complains about it... there for, do they do it on purpose? hahaha lol, just please :
a) don't give Edward/Robert more story than he has (don't mean I'm less crazy about him lol ♥♥!).
b) LOVE that Taylor is staying ^u^.
c) in the future: don't even think about changing anyone else!!
thanks for reading!!

P.S. New Moon SHOULD send the cast for its premiere in Mexico but this time in Guadalajara, Jalisco!!

OMG!!! Hi, it's me again (the girl from Guadalajara :D)...

omg omg omg omg! I just read something about a book of Stephenie's called "Midnight Sun"... When did that happen? And when was (is) she planning on publishing it? I just think that it's a GREAT idea looking at the same things, but, from Edward's eyes... I can't even imagine how I'm going to be peacefull knowing that there may be another pulication from Twilight!!

Please share what you know about this book!!

I would like to see more of the passion Edward and Bella have for each other. In the movie the meadow scene was a disappointment here it was Bella and Edwards first time touching one another instead we got them staring at each other in the grass. I understand you would like to keep the movie pg rating but if these children are allowed to read the books then why keep it out of the movie. Please remember this is a love story. I REALLY hope the people who are watching it understand that. I also hope that you do not change the plot in which Bella has to agree with Edwards terms of changing her into a vampire , Love story remember...

I agree the film cannot be like the book, for the book delves in thoughts, and a movie about thoughts would just plain not make it. the film interpretation has to be real, and yet dreamy like, for it must follow at least the concept of the book. hopefully it can give more to the movie goers than the book gave to the audience of readers. Everyone wanted Bella and Edward together, and that was the big let down in the book. Regardless of how I feel about that, I do hope that the movie is successful in its own right.

new moon will focus on the nomads/victoria mainly, and jacob he is a wolf trying to protect bella and victoria is gonna want revenge! and bella will want to become a vampire so that way she can stay with edward forevr and not be like 80 while edward is 17

I think the worst thing they could do is change story! Most people have read the book and will be agitated by even the littlest indiscrepancies so making big changes cold devastate the whole saga

I am a huge fan of the books and the film, of course, although from what i saw in the new moon trailer, i cant say it was similar enough, talking about the Taylor Lautner scene. I do hope the movie is good. The actors are absolutely gorgeouss, so i wouldnt mind if pattinson didnt play as bigger role as he did in twilight. I found New Moon particularly depressing and Im not sure how they are going to portray that, but I do hope that there is some sence of that in the movie, as this would make it close to the book. I recently heard that Robert Pattison and Kristen Steward were seeing eachother, not sure if that is true as she has a boyfriend, but i dont find this all too upsetting, think they would make a great couple :) Soo, yh, can not wait to see the Twilight saga, New Moon!

Ok,there seems to be alot of problems with the whole more edward thing. In my opinon you should always stick to the book. You should just show were edward was every now and then, but, dont cut parts of Jacob just to put edward in that would be stupid. Some of the people on here just don't know what there talking about. And don't get me wrong edward is beyond cute but don't cut Jacob just to show more of Edward. And another thing keep Taylor. The movie will be way better if he keeps the part but not because he's just cute but he's got the voice, the personality, and he looks like he's 16 just as the book descirbed. So do us all a favor and keep Taylor.
